The event is an interactive light and sound project offering a free walking experience to the public to engage with Indigenous stories and creative displays along the banks of the River Torrens.

The event is not a concert or a late-night music venue, so the noise impact is not expected to be significant. Regardless, the event is required to abide by the City of Adelaide’s Noise Mitigation Standard Operating Procedures. As part of the event the organiser is required to provide a Noise Management Plan.

If Council approves the event to proceed residents and stakeholders in surrounding areas will be notified by the event organiser via a mail drop at least two weeks prior to the event. The letter will advise of all details of the event including the opening times and contact information for complaints and queries.

A report will be presented to Council on 9 October 2018. The report will include the findings of the public consultation and the recommendations of the CoA Events team. Council has the final say on whether this proposal is approved to proceed.

Council will be provided with the outcomes of this public consultation process to assist in their decision making. As this is a legislated consultation the names and addresses of all responders will be available to Council on request.
