The State Planning Commission has released reports on the outcome of two recent consultations. These summarise the submissions made on the draft Development Assessment Regulations & Practice Directions and Phase One of the Planning and Design Code (Land not Within a Council Area). The State Planning Commission has released a number of papers outlining how the new planning system will protect heritage and character and improve the design quality of the built environment. These policy position papers can be downloaded from either the SA Planning Portal or the document library on this Your Say page.
There will be an opportunity to provide feedback on these policy matters when the next phases of the Planning and Design Code are released on consultation. This is expected to be mid-2019 for regional council areas and late 2019 for metropolitan council areas.

The first phase of the Planning and Design Code: Planning and Design Code in the Outback has been released for consultation.
All comments should be submitted to the State Government by 29 March, 2019 via the Have Your Say page on the SA Planning Portal. If you would like to share this feedback with the City of Adelaide, please send it to: m.frew@cityofadelaide.com.au
Consultation on the Code in regional council areas will open in mid-2019 and will move to metropolitan council areas in late-2019.
