Following extensive research and consultation the new City Connector bus service was implemented on 27 January 2014. The new service has improved frequency, expanded operating times and increased passenger capacity. In addition many of the bus stops have been revised to accommodate the larger bus size and to comply with accessibility standards.
We've received over 400 general comments for the proposed route, 60 comments on the bus stop locations and approximately 150 people attended an information sessions at one of our centres. All of your feedback, submissions and comments have been summarised in a report.
We've worked closely together with Dept. of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) to address the key themes raised during the community consultation period. However feedback from some residents and business have highlighted concerns with a number of specific bus stop locations and potential local impact.
