Why did the skate park on North Terrace close?
The Council's lease on the site was terminated in 2015 as part of the City’s new health and biomedical precinct along North Terrace, which includes the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Where will the City Skate Park be relocated to?
The new City Skate Park will be integrated into the Gladys Elphick Park/Narnungga (Park 25) near the West Terrace and Glover Avenue Park Lands frontage.
How much will it cost to build a new skate park?
Based on best practice interstate and overseas, Council estimates that it will cost approximately $3 million to provide a new facility that reflects a capital city quality.
Has Council budgeted for the relocation of the City Skate Park?
The Marshall Liberal Government and the City of Adelaide have partnered to deliver the new City Skate Park. The State Government will provide $3 million towards the development.
