Do you support the approval of a permit application to temporarily close a section of Hindley Street between Liverpool Street and Clarendon Street during the September 2021 Uni SA Graduation Ceremonies?

Update

No objections to the permit being approved were received during consultation. As a result, the CEO, under delegation from Council, has approved the permit for a temporary road closure of a section of Hindley Street to facilitate the University of South Australia Graduation Ceremonies commencing , 28, 29 and 30 September 2021.


Project Information

City of Adelaide has received an application from the University of South Australia to close a section of Hindley Street between Liverpool Street and Clarendon Street to facilitate the safe crossing of University Graduates from both Campuses during the September 2021 graduation ceremonies as follows:

Under the Local Government Act 1999, the City of Adelaide is required to consult the public before it can grant a permit for an event that requests to use a public road for business purposes, and which will require whole or partial road closure(s) that may impede the passage of traffic to a material degree.
