Project Information

Community gardens are a popular source of enjoyment. The garden will be used to grow vegetables, fruit and flowers, will not be fenced and is not a commercial venture.

As part of the redevelopment of Park 27B in the Adelaide Park Lands opposite the Bowden redevelopment site, Adelaide City Council is proposing to licence to a local community group the portion of the Park Lands shown in red on the location map for five years for use as a community garden.

Under the Local Government Act 1999, Councils are required to formally undertake public consultation for a lease or licence over community land that is not identified in the Community Land Management Plan (CLMP). You can review the draft licence document here.
