Would fixed businesses remain accessible during the Markets?
Yes, while the road
will be closed to vehicular traffic, pedestrians will still be able to access
the businesses on the street and the event organisers will ensure the footpaths
are kept clear to provide clear access to existing businesses. In addition to
this, signs will be installed at the entry to the street advising people that
businesses in the street will be operating as normal.
Will the event provide toilets for event patrons?
Event toilets will be
made available at 14 Ebenezer Place in the East Building and in the Belgian
Beer Café. Clear signage will be installed at the event directing event patrons
to these toilets so as not to impact other fixed businesses within the street.
How will amplified sound levels be managed during the event?
The
event will have a DJ playing amplified music to the market precinct. The event
organiser will work to manage the sound levels, adjust speaker orientation and
monitor the sound levels at each event. Where appropriate, adjustment will be
made to the set up and levels throughout the season. City of Adelaide will be
engaging an acoustic engineer to monitor the first event of the season to
provide base level data and recommendations for the event’s Noise Management
Plan for future events.
Will commercial vehicles be able to service businesses in Ebenezer Place?
During
the road closure no vehicles will be able to access Ebenezer Place.
