April 2019: Update
The outcome of the Encroachment Policy review went before Council for a decision on 26 March 2019. Council considered all the submissions received, draft responses to submissions and the proposed draft policy amendments to the Encroachment Policy. At the meeting, Council resolved to adopt the proposed Fee Schedule and revised Encroachment Policy. View the adopted Encroachment Policy here.
The implementation of the adopted Encroachment Policy is effective from 26 March 2019 (the date of adoption) and will be referred to for all future encroachment applications.
Update
Following the conclusion of the consultation period on the Draft Encroachment Policy, Council is in the process of considering the submissions received and appropriate amendments to the Policy. The draft Encroachment Policy with recommended changes to the Policy arising from public consultation will be considered by Council in the first half of 2018.
