Why is the City of Adelaide calling for expressions of interest (EOI) in this area which is used by an existing licence holder?
The expiry of the current sporting lease and licence for Pardipardinyilla (Park 2) and an interest in redeveloping the sports facilities brings into play the City of Adelaide’s Park Lands Leasing and Licensing Policy. This policy requires an EOI process occur in circumstances where proposals could affect the future of the Park and / or existing tenure has expired.
Blackfriars Priory School’s current tenure arrangements have been temporarily extended and the School (along with those of any sub-lessees) will continue to use Park 2 during the EOI process and is also eligible to participate in the process.
