Key Findings

Key themes that were heard were general concerns about e-scooters, e-scooters as potential hazards and obstacles for people walking/wheeling, and that e-scooters can impact the tidiness of the street. Loss of convenience was an issue for e-scooter users. Some people noted that parking areas with greater legibility would have multiple benefits.

About three quarter of respondents ‘agreed’ or ‘strongly agreed’ that further controls should be put in place regarding where e-scooters can be parked across the City of Adelaide (city and North Adelaide).

Based on the trial, it is suggested that while council wide designated parking may be impractical, additional management on certain streets should be considered.
