Events in the Park Lands

Consultation has concluded

The Park Lands are classified as Community Land and therefore Council has legislative responsibility for their management including maintaining their access for community use.

Throughout the year Council receives applications for events to occur in the Adelaide Park Lands. Before we grant event applications for a Park Lands Event Licence, we are required to seek your feedback as the event may affect/impact your access to the Park Lands.

    From July to August, Council sought community submissions on the following event applications:

    • Adelaide Fringe Club & Corner Corner;
    • Gluttony;
    • The Garden of Unearthly Delights;
    • Australian 3 Day International Event; and
    • Santos Tour Down Under - Tour Village & Bike Expo.

    A report (including community submissions) was then presented to Council for a decision regarding the approval of the applications.

    On 22 September Council granted a temporary Event Licence to the applicants for use of the Park Lands in accordance with the conditions stated in the Event Impact Statement.
