Project information and background
The City of Adelaide is trialling a new parking model at the UPark on Rundle Street from 1 July 2017 until 31 December 2018.
The trial is offering free parking for stays of up to 60 minutes for casual parking during trading hours. Normal fees will apply for stays longer than an hour.
The first hour free parking trial has been introduced to support additional visitation to the Rundle Mall and East End Precincts following the success of the same pricing structure at UPark at Central Market which increased visitation to the car park . Originally scheduled for 12 months, the First Hour Free Parking Trial has been extended to 31 December 2018.
