Project Information
We are developing a master plan to guide the future design and sustainability of the North Adelaide Golf Course.
The City of Adelaide has engaged a consultant team comprising of GHDWoodhead, Evans + Ayers Management Consultants, and Graham Marsh Golf Design to develop the master plan. In planning to revitalise the North Adelaide Golf Course, there are a number of factors to be taken into account by the consultants. Such considerations include:
The need to observe safe distances between fairways and roadways,
Achieving moderate walking distances between holes,
Preservation of existing tree corridors,
Working with the natural topography of the land,
Accommodating lengthy fairways within the confined shape of the northern section of Pirltawardli/Park 1.
These factors and more will determine the possible layout options and eventual golf course configuration.
During the first stage of the consultation process we heard from you about your usage of Pirltawardli/Park 1 and the features and facilities that you would like to see. This feedback will be used to inform the development of the draft Master Plan and concept designs.
Further consultation on the draft Master Plan will begin in the coming months following Council endorsement. Please note that the project information below relates to the initial consultation process in April-May 2017.
