Background

Did you know that we are looking after a threatened ecological community right in the heart of the city?

The fenced area in Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi was part of a Grey Box (Eucalypus macrocarpa) SA Blue Gum (Eucalyptus leucoxylon) grassy woodland that once extended through the south Park Lands, and is now managed by the Biodiversity on-ground team. Project Information

We have created a pop-up interpretive trail in Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi which blends nature and history where our community can explore one of Adelaide’s most unique natural habitats.

Throughout the school holidays we encourage families to grab a free activity book and follow the signs to explore this area!

Booklets can be picked up from the Customer Centre (25 Pirie St), Adelaide Community Centres, SA Museum or cafes in Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi from Saturday 6th October.
