Project Update

Event licence has been drafted and will be issued later this year.

Project Information and Background

We have received an application to stage the international touring production ‘Channing Tatum presents Magic Mike Live’ in Adelaide from April to July 2022 . The proposed location for this event is Bonython Park/Tulya Wardli (Park 27).

Magic Mike Live event is a large scale, live production show based on the hit movies. It would include a range of elements including a performance Spiegeltent named the Arcadia (currently the world's largest spiegeltent), comprising of a 360-degree dance and acrobatic performance stage, bar with a pre-event waiting area and patron toilets.

The show is currently touring Australia and is performing in Melbourne from June through to August 2021, followed by Brisbane in November and December.

The City of Adelaide hosts a wide range of events every year. In addition to staging our own events we invite event organisers (including interstate and international organisers) to consider holding their events in our City, particularly those that bring activation to the City during the winter season.

Under the Adelaide Park Lands Events Management Plan 2016 - 2020, Bonython Park/Tulya Wardli is deemed an appropriate location for this event.

The event proposes to run from 16 April 2022 to 10 July 2022 with bump in from 4 April 2022 and bump out by 12 July 2022.
