What is the North Adelaide Rare & Classic Car Show?

North Adelaide Rare & Classic Car Show is proposed to be held on a partially closed Tynte Street. The event is organised by the North Adelaide Precinct Association and includes a display of rare and classic cars, a stage with musical entertainment, food and beverage stalls and activities for children. The event would run from 12pm until 6pm.

This same event was previously held on Tynte Street in April 2019.

When would the road be closed?

Tynte Street between O’Connell Street and Tynte Place would be closed from 7am until 8pm on Sunday 13 November 2022. The event is proposed to run from 12pm to 6pm on this day.

Would businesses remain accessible during the North Adelaide Rare & Classic Car Show?

Yes, while the road will be closed to vehicular traffic, pedestrians will still be able to access the businesses and residential properties on Tynte Street. The event organisers will ensure the footpaths are kept clear to provide clear access to existing premises.

The North Adelaide Village will remain accessible via Tynte Court at all times.

Vehicle access to Tynte Place will remain open at all times.

Access to Tower Street South and Chapel Street via Tynte Street will be closed during the event road closure. Access to Chapel Street will be provided via O’Connell Street.

Will vehicles be able to service businesses within the road closures?

During the road closure no vehicles (authorised vehicles exempt) will be able to access the closed portion of road.

Who can I contact prior to or during the event if I have any concerns regarding the event?
