This consultation has concluded.

The APA group has advised Council that they are starting to replace all the gas mains within the City over the next 4-5 years. In this initial part of the project, they have requested the use of the Park Lands to install a compound about 50 metres square.

By permitting the use of a compound in the Adelaide Park Lands, several weeks can be saved on the project reducing the impact on commuters into and out of Adelaide.

If approved, the site compound will exclude the public from an area approximately 50 metres square in the south west corner of Walyo Yerta Park 21 (adjacent to Greenhill Road). The compound will be in place for approximately eight months.

Project Outcome
However as a consequence of changed operational requirements from the APA group, the compound suggested for Walyo Yerta Park (23) is no longer required. The APA group are currently pursuing an alternative solution. Thank you to those who expressed interest and provided feedback.
