While it is a legislative requirement to review the document every five years, it is also an opportunity to update the document and reflect the current focus on the Park Lands.

Over 1,540 ideas from “Shape the Park Lands” were gathered and have been considered at each step in developing the Strategy. 

While not every idea has been reflected in the Strategy, they have been reflected where possible and in some cases have been reflected as a theme eg. “More water features”.  In some cases, ideas will be used to inform more detailed planning in the Park Lands.

If you visit the YourSayAdelaide website, you’ll see that you can click on the map of the precinct within the Park Lands which interests you and go directly to that part of the document which relates to it.  You can then complete the submission form with your comments. 

This will simplify your feedback and you won’t need to read the whole document.  However, you may find that reading the whole document gives a better picture of what is proposed.

If you go through the YourSayAdelaide website, you’ll see that as well as clicking on the map of the precinct within the Park Lands, you can also click on that part of the document in which you are most interested.

For example you can review the Vision, Outcomes or Strategies relating to a particular topic such as pathways and connections. You can then complete the submission form with your comments which relate to the topic that interests you.

Your feedback on the draft Strategy will be reported to the Authority and Council in mid 2016 together with suggested changes to the document.  These reports will be available at Council’s website.

All feedback forms, submissions or correspondence will be acknowledged either by email or in writing so that you know your comments/feedback has been received.
