Rymill Park Lake Renewal Project - October Update

We are pleased to share the latest developments on our project since its establishment in late August to October. The contractor has been hard at work, making significant progress in creating a secure project boundary and initiating crucial enabling works.

Key Activities and Achievements:

Project Site Boundary Established: The team has successfully defined the project site boundary, setting the stage for the upcoming phases of the project.
Heavy Vehicle Access Created: Ensuring efficient transportation, heavy vehicle access has been established to facilitate the smooth flow of materials and equipment, whilst ensuring the safety of all park users.
Project Enabling Works Path Built: A new Park Land Trail connection has been delivered, our team has completed the construction of the Project Enabling Works Path. This pathway not only enhances connectivity but also contributes to the overall recreational landscape.
Lake Demolition Started: Progressing with the project timeline, we have commenced the demolition phase for the lake area. This is a precursor for major earthworks.
Lake Earthworks Started: The team is actively engaged in earthworks at the southern side of lake, a crucial step in shaping the landscape to it’s new sustainable design.
Lake Retaining Wall Construction Started: Construction of the lake retaining wall is underway, marking a pivotal stage in ensuring the structural integrity and stability of the lake boundary.

We are happy of the achievements thus far and appreciate the collaborative efforts of our project team and stakeholders, with the works on track for a April completion.
