    Event location:    Light Square
Event dates:       Friday 24 February to Sunday 18 March 2012
Set up times:      Monday 20 February to Thursday 23 February 2012
Pull down times: Monday 19 March to Wednesday 21 March 2012

Higher Ground Inc proposes to use the identified area of Light Square as an outdoor audience hub & performance space to enable the presentation of Adelaide Fringe events including theatre, visual are, installations and live music.

The set up will begin on Monday 20 February and the pull down to be completed by Wednesday 21 March 2011.

Shimmering West organisers aim for audiences to consider the venue a "West End Hub". The program will be performance based, with a specific focus on school & family friendly performances, theatre, visual
art, installations and live music. It is intended that access will not be ticketed, although there may be some ticketed daytime performances for children and school groups.

This venue provides performance space for local and visiting artists during the Adelaide Fringe, as well as providing the West End with an outdoor performance space that incorporates elements of 'light, colour
& movement' to draw attention to the precinct as an active and participatory locality during the Adelaide Fringe period.

Infrastructure will include a marquee covered stage, PA & lighting, temporary fencing, toilets, bar & food stalls.
