Summadayze

Summadayze has been held in the East Park Lands since 2009.

Summadayze NYE 2012 is a licensed, multistage music festival for over 18's.

This year will mark the fourth anniversary of the Summadayze Music Festival in Adelaide and will be the second time Summadayze has been presented on New Year’s Eve.   Summadayze is a DJ and dance music festival with both interstate and international guests.

The event set up is scheduled to start on Wednesday 26 December 2012 with pull down to be completed by Sunday 6 January 2013.

It is anticipated that the event will attract approximately 15 000 people in total. Opening hours are proposed from 2.00pm Monday 31 December 2012 to 1.00am Tuesday 1 January 2013, with low level background music from one stage from 1.00am to 1.30am

Event infrastructure in the Park Lands will include:
•    Associated marquees and tented structures
•    Food Service - catering/selling vans or booths
•    Staging and/or rigging
•    Public address and lighting support equipment
•    Toilets
•    Signage for the event
•    Ticket boxes
•    Tiered seating
•    Waste Management
•    Support or promotional vehicles
•    Amusement rides
•    Fireworks

We are committed to creating a vibrant city full of exciting and popular cultural and artistic events and activities.
The Summadayze Music Festival tours nationally to Melbourne, Perth, the Gold Coast and Adelaide and attracts approximately 15 000 visitors during the event.

Access to some areas of Rymill Park/Mullawirraburka will be restricted for pedestrians and cyclists from Wednesday 26 December 2012 to Saturday 6 January 2013.  Alternate access will be available through the park and this will be marked clearly with signage. 

Summadayze will be responsible for minimising impacts on the Park Lands by following Adelaide City Council’s Standard Operating Procedures for Events in the Park Lands.  The event will be responsible for restoring the park to its original condition at the end of the event. Summadayze must also comply with Adelaide City Council’s Noise Mitigation Standard Operating Procedures.
