Project Information
We want your feedback on the impact that COVID-19 has had on your business and the level of support that you require or have accessed during this period. If you own a business, and/or you own property in the City we would value your feedback about the impact that this has had on your business. The purpose is for Council to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on businesses, and how we can provide support in these difficult times.
Background
The City of Adelaide has over 5000 businesses; the vast majority of which are considered small to medium enterprises (SMEs). Of the 5000 plus businesses the ratio of Food & Beverage and Retail is high. The current economic climate has challenged many, but the Food & Beverage and Retail sectors have been severely impacted.
Council has established a Small Business Task Force (SBTF) to work in collaboration with Business SA to provide consistent and up to date information to City Businesses on support packages and other services available from Federal, State, Local Government, Peak Bodies, and Industry Associations to address the impact made by COVID-19. The SBTF has been in contact with the city's Precinct Groups and city businesses and would now like to hear from its SMEs to better understand how we can better support you.
This is an opportunity to express your opinions about the support provided by Government (Federal, State and Local) and the accessibility and understanding of these support measures. The intent of this project is to try and better understand the environment, identify any areas for improvement in the system and implement strategies to better support businesses.
