Is parking available at the event site?

No on-site parking is provided for this event, however many on-street and off-street options exist nearby. Public transport and taxis are also available in the vicinity of this event.

Will access to Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga be affected during the event?

There will be public access changes to Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga from 24 April to 14 May 2016. Perimeter footpaths will be accessible 24 hours to the public. Once the event opens there will be public access from the south and north ends through the event site.

Will it cost to attend the event?

There is free entry into the event site on the northern side of Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga. People can purchase meals and beverages and peruse the stalls. The south end of the square will be used for invite only, ticketed or industry events.

How will the Park Lands be protected during their stay?

In addition to the standard requirements under the event licence, the event organisers will be responsible for minimising impacts on the Park Lands by following Adelaide City Council’s Standard Operating Procedures for Events in the Park Lands.

The event will be responsible for restoring the park to its original condition at the end of the event. Specifically Events South Australia has committed to undertaking the following Park Lands protection measures:
  • Hand watering will occur during the occupancy period.
  • Temporary buildings and structures will be elevated off the surface of the grass to minimise impact on the turfed areas of the Park Lands.

Can I expect noise where I live?

The event must comply with the Adelaide City Council’s Event Noise Mitigation Standard Operating Procedures for temporary multi-day venues. The event has limited external amplified music or announcements in the park outside of the venues.

A letter box drop to residents and affected businesses two weeks prior to the event will detail the event and a process for any complaints.
