Consultation has concluded
Tennis SA occupies the land and buildings in Tarntanya Wama (Park 26) and Pirltawardli (Park 1) by virtue of a 21 year lease that expired on 30 June 2015, and has a long history associated with this site.
Tennis SA operates as the governing body of tennis in South Australia and is a member of Tennis Australia. Tennis SA has 34 affiliated associations and over 250 clubs associated with the governing body. As a not for profit organisation, Tennis SA are committed to promoting and developing tennis throughout the state and currently hold an all-time record high membership of approximately 24,000 registered members.
Project Information
The purpose of this consultation is to seek feedback on the proposed lease agreement between Tennis SA and Council.
It is a legislative requirement to undertake community consultation on a lease/licence over community land that is for a term of greater than five years. Council is proposing to grant a 42 year lease/licence to Tennis SA for use of a portion of Tarntanya Wama (Park 26) and Pirltawardli (Park 1) and is seeking your feedback on this agreement.
Although the Masterplan is an integral link to this project, it is not the purpose of this engagement to consult on the Masterplan as this will happen at a later date.
