What area will be occupied by the event in Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga (South)?

    Will the event site be fenced?

    Yes, the event site will be fenced.

    How long would the proposed event be in the park?

    The event setup would commence from Monday 23 May 2022 and pull down would be completed by Sunday, 11 September 2022. The event period would be from Monday 4 July, 2022 to Sunday 28 August, 2022.

    What would the operating hours be?

    • Sundays to Thursdays: 9am to 11pm 
    • Fridays and Saturdays: 9am to 11.59pm 

    Will there be any event noise from the site?

    Ambient music will be played in the front of house spaces while the event is running and a music score will accompany the exhibition inside the pavilion structure. 

    Sound levels will be monitored throughout the event to ensure that the maximum event noise levels as set out by the City of Adelaide’s Event Amplified Sound Management Guidelines are not exceeded.

    Will any pathways be obstructed by the event?

    Yes, the central North/ South pathways will be obstructed by the event footprint. Usual access to the perimeter pathways will be maintained at all times.

    How will the event protect Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga (South) during its occupancy?

    As a condition of any Event Licence, the applicant must undertake rigorous site management, centred around the protection and care of the Park Land environment. This requirement would include but is not limited to the following:

    • Tree protection zones established.
    • Ground protection for high traffic areas.
    • Site watering and treatments throughout the period of occupancy as necessary
    • Buildings elevated off the ground to protect the grass.
    • Controlled vehicle movement during bump-in and bump-out.
    • Ongoing site assessments with Council to monitor site conditions and collaborate on solutions.

    The event organiser must cover all costs associated with remediating the site back to its original condition after an event.
