Why has 3-hour timed controls been implemented as part of this trial?
3-hour Motorcycle Parking Any Day 8.00 am-6.00 pm has been applied for consistency with existing car parking timed parking controls in Hindmarsh Square and Kintore Avenue.
How will I know where the 3-hour timed controls are located?
The timed motorcycle parking controls will be located on Hindmarsh Square (7 spaces) and Kintore Avenue (4 spaces) as shown on the maps provided on the front of this consultation pack. The timed motorcycle parks will be clearly identifiable through on-street signage.
Where else can I park on-street during this trial if I need longer than 3-hour motorcycle parking?
There are over 1000 unrestricted motorcycle park locations on-street and on-footpath in the city. For more information on their locations please refer to the City of Adelaide’s motorcycle parking webpage:
What happens if I exceed my 3-hour limit?
Our Parking and Information Officers will monitor the area during the trial, taking an educative approach in the initial stages to assist customers to understand the change with the parking control. They also need to ensure the 3-hour time limit is monitored to support fair and equitable access to the spaces.
Where can I park my motorcycle if there are no on-street motorcycle parking spaces available?
Motorcycle parking is also available in the majority of off-street parking stations in the city, such as our UParks:

How much does off-street motorcycle parking cost at UPark?
A $6 flat fee applies, except at the Central Market UPark where a $5.50 flat fee applies.
