We received two submissions in regards to the 27 Vincent St DPA. The submissions received expressed no concern about the de-listing of 27 Vincent Place. The comments were more of a technical nature about the Amendment Instructions.
On 10 December 2013 a public hearing was held, at which there was no request to be heard. At this meeting, the Council authorised that the DPA be sent to the Minister for approval. On 11 December the DPA was forwarded to the Minister for approval. Council is currently waiting on the decision from the Minister on the DPA.

Background Information
Council has prepared a draft Development Plan Amendment (DPA) that proposes to remove the status of 27 Vincent Place, Adelaide as a Local Heritage (Townscape) Place.
Council’s decision to undertake the DPA process to de-list 27 Vincent Place is a result of the limited heritage value and the poor condition of the building. The building was originally listed on the basis of a previous survey of townscape and was unable to address the current statutory criteria for places of local heritage value. Further, its condition has changed.
