Update: The Adelaide Rally finale was staged in March 2021 having been rescheduled from November 2020 to March 2021, due to restrictions with COVID-19 in November 2020
The City of Adelaide CEO approved the road closure for this event and the event permit was issued by the Events Team. The map of the proposed event area can be viewed here.
Unfortunately due to the revised COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, the Adelaide Rally Finale Event that was scheduled to occur on Saturday 28 November 2020, in a section of Tynte Street and on 88 O Connell Street has been postponed to Saturday 27 March 2021.

City of Adelaide has received a permit application from Adelaide Rally for the closure of a section of Tynte Street between Curtis Street and O’Connell Street from 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Saturday 28 November 2020 to stage the 2020 Adelaide Rally Finale.
Background
The Adelaide Rally is a nostalgic themed car event based on the iconic Classic Adelaide Rally and is Australia’s largest tarmac rally. The racing itself will occur in the Adelaide Hills from 25th to 28th November 2020. The Rally Finale event caps off four days of intense competition at the Adelaide Rally with a free community event proposed to occur on 88 O’Connell Street and on a section of Tynte Street.
To facilitate the road closure, it is proposed that all the on-street parking spaces on the closed section of the roads will be changed to ‘No Stopping Saturday for the duration of the road closure. ‘
