The State Government has enacted a trial 24/7 Dry Area in Kurangga (Park 20) and Veale Gardens/ Walya Yarta (Park 21) for three months from 20 December 2019. Consumption of alcohol in these two parks is now prohibited at all times.
Existing dry area restrictions across the city remain in place. City streets and squares are a dry area at all times and all Park Lands (aside from Parks 20 and 21) are a dry area daily from 8pm to 11am.
In order to consider a 24 hour, seven days a week dry area in all the Adelaide Park Lands the State Government the City of Adelaide to demonstrate community support for this proposal through broad community consultation.
