Consultation has concluded
The revised Order Making Policy was adopted by Council on 13 August 2019. A copy of the Policy can be located at 25 Pirie Street, Adelaide, or by clicking here. The Policy will be reviewed if there is a change to the relevant legislation or in four years’ time, whichever occurs first.
The City of Adelaide is reviewing its Order Making Policy and is seeking feedback on its revised draft.
Council is required to adopt an Order Making Policy under section 259 of the Local Government Act 1999 (SA) (the ‘Act’). This governs the City of Adelaide’s responsibilities to take measures to protect its area from hazards and to improve the amenity of the city.
The current Order Making Policy is under review to ensure it is compliant with current legislation.
The draft Order Making Policy will be open for consultation for four weeks from Thursday, 23 May 2019 to 5pm Thursday, 20 June 2019.
Following the consultation process all submissions received will inform the development of the final draft Order Making Policy that will be sent to Council for endorsement in the second half of 2019.
