Project Information

We are seeking feedback from the community on plans to undertake a full streetscape upgrade to Union Street in April 2020. The planned upgrade will enhance pedestrian and outdoor dining amenities and create opportunities to increase activity in the East End laneways and small streets through improved street design, infrastructure and lighting.

The concept design incorporates wider footpaths with new surface treatments, integrated public art elements and new LED lighting. There will be no reduction in the total number of existing on-street parking spaces.

We are keen to hear your feedback on both the concept design and the construction phase.
