Proposal for an event on a road

Project Information

City of Adelaide has received an application from the event organisers to hold the Adelaide Motorsport Festival on a section of Wakefield Road on 24 - 26 March 2023.

To facilitate this event occurring, it is proposed that the below roads will be closed to vehicles as per the below schedule:

Under the Local Government Act 1999, public consultation is required for events which propose to alter the purpose of a road, by using a public road for business purposes and when the road closure would impact traffic to a material degree.

We would like your feedback on the application to grant a temporary closure for the purpose of the Adelaide Motorsport Festival taking place.

All feedback must be received by Council by 5pm, 17 February 2023.

All submissions must be received by 5.00pm on 17 February 2023.

What happens next?

We will acknowledge your feedback either by email or in writing. Feedback will be considered by Council’s City Events team and if approval is given, we will work with the event organiser to minimise any avoidable impacts on surrounding stakeholders.
