We are conducting a Business Insights Survey to find out more about the businesses that operate in Adelaide (postcode 5000) and North Adelaide (postcode 5006). We first did a Business Survey in this way in 2020 with 166 businesses in the City of Adelaide completing the survey.
In 2021 we want to hear from owners and operators of city businesses to understand how we can better support your business goals. The Survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. Don't forget to enter the prize draw to WIN one of two $500 vouchers for a city experience!
Your responses will be used to help shape the services, program and activities delivered by the City of Adelaide for business.
The responses received to the 2020 Business Insights Survey along with other engagement with businesses in the City throughout 2020 informed key activities to support business. These activities included:
reducing our payment terms to suppliers down to 14 days (this has since been further reduced to ten days)
the Outdoor Activation Grants funded by the State Government and City of Adelaide so businesses could better use and enhance the outdoor areas adjacent to their business
the City Business Support Program providing specialised advice via Business SA
Adelaide’s Long Lunch Campaign offering 5,000 x $30 vouchers for dining and visitor experiences in the city and North Adelaide
as evidence to get Council to budget for energy assessment for businesses. 50 businesses have since signed up for these assessments
informing the review of what sustainability incentives are offered by Council. Council has provided over $1 million in incentives towards sustainable technologies since 2015, for residents and business.

The City of Adelaide wants to hear from owners and operators of businesses located in the City of Adelaide to understand your circumstances and how we can better support you. We invite you to provide your feedback via this survey, which will take no more than 15 minutes.
This survey asks for information about your business such as where it is located and how many staff you employ, and your outlook for the future. It also asks about what support you would most like from Council to meet your business goals. This year we are again asking about what you do and would like to do to make your business more environmentally sustainable, and there are two new questions to help with the 2021 focus on active transport.
Your response will remain anonymous. The optionalcontact information at the end of the survey will only be used if you choose to enter the prize draw or to subscribe to the "City Business" E-news. You must be 18 years or over to complete the survey.
