Making sure that the city’s digital technology capabilities are forward thinking, innovative and adaptable is crucial in ensuring that Adelaide remains one of the best places in the world to live, work, learn and play.

The Digital Strategy 2012-16 “Connect Adelaide” provides the overarching framework, strategic direction, and guiding principles for delivering a well connected city with empowered communities, through the smart use of technology. Thank you for your feedback during the community consultation of the Digital Strategy in December.  Feedback was quite positive and you provided some great suggestions which will help guide our priorities for implementation.

Seventy submissions were received from members of the public, community groups, State Government and other organisations.  Click here to view details of the submissions.  In addition, over 900 people visited the Digital Strategy consultation page on Your Say and there were over 400 downloads of the draft strategy.  This demonstrated a great level of interest and community awareness of the proposed Digital Strategy.

On 26 March we approved the final version of the Digital Strategy and endorsed the Action Plan that outlines how we will implement the strategy.  Click here to view the final Digital Strategy 2012-16 “Connect Adelaide”.  Please note that a graphic designed version of the strategy will be published in April 2013, as well as an online ‘living’ version to be available from the www.adelaidecitycouncil.com website, that will provide regular progress updates and opportunities for ongoing community interaction.  Watch this space for further updates!
