Project Information

Adelaide is internationally recognised as a UNESCO City of Music which proudly supports live music and events.

Harvest Rock, a two-day music festival featuring Australian and international artists and with a focus on showcasing South Australian produce, has been announced to return for a second year as a now annual event for Adelaide on Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 October 2023. The event organiser has applied to stage the event in Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka and King Rodney Park / Ityamai-itpina and on a portion of Bartels Road, as was the site for the event in 2022.

Under the Local Government Act 1999, public consultation is required for events that propose to alter the purpose of a road, by using a public road for business purposes, and when the road closure would impact traffic to a material degree.

The purpose of this public consultation is therefore to invite feedback on the proposal to temporarily close a portion of Bartels Road, between East Terrace and Dequetteville Terrace, from 10:00am Monday 23 October 2023 to 11:59pm on Monday 30 October 2023 for Harvest Rock 2023.
