This consultation has concluded.

We are planning to build an adventure playground in the Adelaide Park Lands in 2013/2014.  We wanted to know what you liked to see included in the adventure playground. Is it a huge flying fox, a super long twisty slide, an impossible climbing wall, a medieval fort, a series of trampolines?

The winner was announced at a Bonython Park Family Day where all entries will be displayed. The Family Day showcased the design of a new playground and children’s bicycle track (part of the new Road Safety Centre) constructed in Bonython Park.

Calling All Kids – We Need Your Ideas

We are planning to build an adventure playground in the Adelaide Park Lands in 2013/2014.  We want to know what YOU would like to see included in the adventure playground.  Is it a huge flying fox, a super long twisty slide, an impossible climbing wall, a medieval fort, a series of trampolines?

Tell us what you think and you could win a Birthday Party for you and 10 friends at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre!  Terms and Conditions do apply.  Please see the Ideas Competition Download.

Council is currently building an Activity Hub in Bonython Park.  An Activity Hub is a collection of different recreation facilities aimed at getting families and friends outdoors and active.

So far we have constructed the Adelaide Park Lands Trail through Bonython Park and brought back to life the old model boat pond.  We are also building an exciting new playground by the former kiosk and in partnership with the South Australia Police, establishing a Road Safety Centre for children to be educated about road safety on a brand new and fun mock roadway.  Children (and adults!), will be able to ride their bike on this roadway when education sessions aren’t being held.

We are talking to prospective operators to reopen the kiosk to ensure you and your parents can get a drink and a bite to eat whilst visiting Bonython Park.

There is a lot happening in Bonython Park.  To see an image of the planned Bonython Park Activity Hub, look at the concept plan from the related documents section of this site.

How can you tell us your ideas?
By wrriting or drawing in the space provided in the Ideas Competition Entry Form.

    What Happens Next?
We will receive your ideas on the Competition Ideas form in person, on-line or by mail up until 5pm on Friday 14 September 2012.

All ideas will be considered in the development of the design for the new adventure playground.  There is no guarantee that all ideas will be included in the final design.  All ideas will be displayed at a Bonython Park Family Day.

    Bonython Park Family Day
Adelaide City Council in partnership with Life.Be in it will be hosting a Bonython Park Family Day in November 2012 (date is TBA) to celebrate all the great new improvements to Bonython Park done so far.  As part of this event, all your ideas will be on display with the winner of the Adelaide Aquatic Centre Birthday Party announced at the event.
