Lumary City to Bay Fun Run 2021: Permit Application for closure of roads in the City.

Consultation has concluded

Hundreds of walkers and runners moving across the start line City to Bay fun.

Give us your views on temporarily closing roads in the City to stage the Lumary City to Bay Fun Run 2021. 

Update: 11 October 2021

City-Bay management regrets to inform its Sponsors, supporters and participants that the Lumary City-Bay Fun Run will not proceed in 2021.

Despite exhaustive efforts by City-Bay management, the SA Health Covid Management Committee this morning denied the application for the event to proceed.

Registrants will be given the option of rolling over their entry to next year, obtaining a refund, or donating their registration fee to a cause. Full details on how to go about this will be communicated once they are available .

City-Bay management thanks everyone for their support, and aim to be back, bigger, better than ever in 2022.

Update: August 2021

Due to the changing COVID environment, City to Bay has postponed their upcoming event from Sunday 19 September 2021 to Sunday 7 November 2021. As a result, the consultation process that was due to close on 16 August 2021 was halted.

21 days of consultation will recommence on Friday, 27 August 2021 and run through to Monday, 20 September 2021. The details have been updated below:

Project Information and Background

City of Adelaide has received a permit application from the SA Fun Runs Incorporated to hold the Lumary City to Bay Fun Run 2021 in a section of roads in the City on Sunday 7 November 2021.

To facilitate this activity, it is proposed that the below roads will be closed to vehicles on Sunday 7 November 2021 as per the below schedule:

Under the Local Government Act 1999, the City of Adelaide is required to consult the public before it can grant a permit for an event that requests to use a public road for business purposes, and which will require whole or partial road closure(s) that may impede the passage of traffic to a material degree.

    19 September 2021: Lumary Fun Run consultation postponed.

    City of Adelaide had received a permit application from the SA Fun Runs Incorporated to hold the Lumary City to Bay Fun Run 2021 in a section of roads in the City on Sunday 19 September 2021.

    Consultation commenced 26 September 2021. However, due to the changing COVID environment, City to Bay have had to postpone their upcoming event from Sunday 19 September 2021 to Sunday 7 November 2021. This led to the suspension of consultation. At the point of suspension 9 visitors had provided feedback.
