Consultation has concluded.
Help us understand how you think the city’s 'Streets and Transportation' and 'Parks Lands and Open Spaces' assets are performing.
Project Information
We are in the process of undertaking a comprehensive review of the levels of service for our diverse and complex infrastructure portfolio which includes a range of assets including: Buildings, Water Infrastructure, Park Lands and Open Spaces, Transportation Assets, Urban Elements, and Public Lighting and Electrical. In this consultation we are focusing on two services: Park Lands and Open Spaces and Streets and Transportation.
This is a periodic review which enables us to plan our asset management efforts, optimise outcomes for the community and prioritise resources for areas of greatest need in line with Council’s overall strategic and budgetary objectives.
Streets and Transportation, includes several different assets located within the transport category including roads and kerbs; on-road cycling paths; footpaths; stormwater infrastructure; street lighting and electrical; street furniture; trees; and signage.
Park Lands and Open Space, includes several different assets located within the Park Lands and other open spaces including footpaths and shared paths; Park Lands parking facilities; water infrastructure; park lighting; park furniture; park trees and tree bases; park signage; turf, garden beds and irrigation systems; ornamental lakes; and water features.
Background
The levels of service within an Asset Management Plan (AMP) determine at what state the asset stock will be maintained and when intervention, such as treatments or replacement, will occur. It will also define the nature of replacements. For example, whether a simple like-to-like or more complex build-back-better approach is taken.
This is a multi-stage project and we will engage with you at several touchpoints during the next two years.
