Project Information

The purpose of the consultation was to seek the community’s feedback on the next steps for the Adelaide Park Lands Dry Area Regulation which will expire on 22 December 2023.

Review Outcome 

On 14 November Council determined that the Adelaide Park Lands Dry Areas Regulations should be extended for a further 18 months from 22 December 2023 to 22 June 2025.  

During this time frame Council will work with members of the Safety and Wellbeing Taskforce (led by the Department of Human Services (DHS) with relevant agencies including DHS, SA Police, and the Drug and Alcohol Services of SA segment of SA Health with Services) to measure the effectiveness and impact of the Adelaide Park Lands Dry Area Regulations.

The City of Adelaide works with SA Police, State Government agencies, social services and the community to support the enjoyment and safe use of the Adelaide Park Lands.
