Consultation has concluded.
Following endorsement by the Adelaide Park Lands Authority in May 2016, the Adelaide Park Lands Management Strategy was adopted by the Adelaide City Council on 15 November 2016. This Strategy is currently being considered by the State Government and is scheduled for final adoption in early 2017
Background
The Park Lands are increasingly seen as playing a greater role in attracting people to the City, to live, work, study and play. We have developed a new vision for the Park Lands with your ideas and through extensive engagement with the State Government and Inner Rim Councils.
The new Adelaide Park Lands Management Strategy aims to increase the quality of our Park Lands, diversify what is on offer for people to enjoy and encourage increased use of the Park Lands, while supporting City and inner-metropolitan growth. The strategy is the main planning document that describes future directions, proposed actions and projects to be delivered for the Park Lands.
The preparation of the strategy is a requirement under the Adelaide Park Lands Act 2005 and must be updated every 5 years. The current Park Lands Strategy was endorsed in 2010 and is now due for revision.
