The Princess Elizabeth Playground and surrounding oval area is located in the Parklands, along South Terrace, this space is a popular spot, especially for local school students and residents of the south eastern side of the City.

To help refresh the Princess Elizabeth playspace including the surrounding area in Park 21 west Minno Wirra, council sought your comments and creative and ideas to help kick start this project. The goal is to make this public space more interesting and exciting for children, more welcoming for a broad range of users and to have better integrated with the Park Lands.

In February 2013 we asked you what you think should be apart of the Master Plan for Princess Elizabeth Playground.

Council has asked Jensen Planning + Design and Bullseye Creative to reate a masterplan for Mirnu Wirra / Park 21W and to develop an innovative concept design for the renewal of Princess Elizabeth Playground.

The new playground will form part of an Activity Hub which will allow a broad range of people within the community to participate in regular activities to support wellbeing, social interaction and foster creativity and fun.

The activity and playground is ideally located (in Mirnu Wirra / Park 21W) to cater for the increasing residential population in Adelaide City’s South Western precinct and existing and future residents within the Unley Council area.
