As part of the Stage 1 Works for the Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga Masterplan, the Queen Victoria Statue has to be relocated.

Council agreed on two potential locations within the Square. To help select the preferred location, Council recently sought community feedback on the two potential locations.

    Council recently asked for your feedback on the relocation of the Queen Victoria statue's new position within Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga. Based on your overwhelming reccomendation Council has endorsed Option B.

    Where to now?
    In coming days, the State Heritage listed Queen Victoria Statue will be carefully removed from its current site, as part of the Stage 1 upgrade of Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga. The statue is being relocated while the central roadway is upgraded and it will be stored in a safe place by Adelaide City Council while the construction works are carried out.
