We asought community feedback on a draft nine year lease for the Minister of Police (SAPOL) to program, manage and maintain the relocated Road Safety Centre (mock roadway) as a part of Council's Bonython Park Activity Hub.
Six submissions were received with five of these supportive of
Council issuing a lease to the State Government for the Road Safety
Centre in Bonython Park. The SAPOL Road Saftey Centre lease has been finalised and signed off as per the conditions that were consulted on. Construction
of the Road Safety Centre bicycle track will commence after Easter,
with use of the facility anticipated to commence in Term 3 this year.
