This consultation has concluded.
View the News Tab below for the outcome of this project.
Council recently sought feedback on its Separate Rate Policy to help define Council’s position and to provide clarity and consistency in Council decisions about whether or not to consider any separate rate.
The Separate Rate Operating Guideline is intended to set out the process and what is expected when developing, considering and determining a separate rate proposal, and declaring and managing separate rate funds.
The option to levy separate rates is consistent with Council’s preference for a placemaking approach involving partnerships, co-creation and identifying sustainable funding models that are matched to needs.
