Project Background and Information
As part of our commitment to making Adelaide a greener and more sustainable capital city, we will be implementing new tree planting in Young Street. This is part of a wider project that aims to increase greening in the west of the city in streets that have little to no vegetation.
As a result of the new tree planting the number of on-street car parking spaces in the street will be reduced from ten (10) to eight (8). The car parking spaces affected are 2-hour parking spaces located on the west side of the street. All loading zones and motorcycle parking will remain unchanged.
Planting new trees in these streets will improve the amenity and assist in providing shade in summer as well as presenting future opportunities for outdoor dining.
