PROJECT UPDATES

Dog Leash Provisions in the Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16) Wetland: The Wetland in Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16) has been declared a dog on-leash area as a result of a recent Council decision. This follows the observed interactions between dogs and native water birds since the Wetland opened in May 2022. In December 2021, after consulting with the community, Council adopted arrangements as part of the Community Land Management Plan General Provisions that allowed dogs to be off-leash in many areas of the Adelaide Park Lands, including the Wetland which was then under construction. Signage advising park visitors of the new on-leash requirement will be installed at all Wetland entry points shortly.

Paxtons Walk - Streetscape Revitalisation Project: The Paxtons Walk upgrade has been completed. Images of Paxtons Walk before and after the upgrade can be viewed here.
