What does Community Land status?
All local government land (except roads) that is owned by council or
under council’s care, control and management is classified as community
land.
Why is Petchy Holdings applying for a 9 year 11 month lease?
Petchy Holdings Pty Ltd is applying for a 9 year 11 month lease to secure its financial investment in the renovation project and developing the Kiosk as a unique destination in a Park Lands setting. The kiosk will also compliment current activities in Victoria Park /Pakapakanthi such as the criterium track, premium pitch, and other scheduled events through the sale of food and beverage.
What change will be seen?
The only change that will be experienced in this area is the opening of a Kiosk for the public sale of food and drinks. There will also be some development works to the kiosk and landscaping surrounding the kiosk.
How will this affect the users of Victoria Park Kiosk?
It is envisaged that the proposed 9 year 11 month lease will not affect users of Victoria Park /Pakapakanthi. As currently experienced, the community will continue to benefit from the use of Victoria Park /Pakapakanthi.
Will I still be able to utilise the Victoria Park Kiosk?
Once the renovation project is complete all Park Lands users will be able to visit the kiosk and will be able to purchase food and beverage.
