Project Updates - Important:
  • The ANZAC Day Dawn Service is being scaled back. The RSL SA has requested the following road closures between 5 am to 8 am to facilitate the private ANZAC Day Dawn Service on Saturday 25 April 2020:

North Terrace between Pulteney Street and Charles Street and;

Kintore Avenue between North Terrace and Morgan Thomas Lane.

  • Union Hotel ANZAC Day Street Party 2020 has been cancelled;
  • The Mother's Day Classic has now been cancelled;
  • The North Adelaide Rare and Classic Car Show planned for 26/4/20 has been cancelled following the public health advice regarding mass gatherings and COVID-19. The consultation process has been closed as a result;
  • The Uni SA: Graduation Ceremonies 2020 have been postponed until September/October 2020. Final dates are still to be confirmed. The consultation process has been closed as a result;
  • The organisers of the Adelaide Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids Tryathlon have announced a postponement of the event until later in 2020, and the consultation has been closed accordingly. A new date is yet to be confirmed. Please re-visit this page for further updates;
  • The organisers of the Gouger Street Yum Cha Cha Street Party have cancelled the event until further notice and the consultation has been closed accordingly;
  • Due to a significant change in the timing of the North Adelaide Rare and Classic Car Show, the consultation period has had to recommence. As the result, the consultation period will now close at 5pm, Monday 6 April 2020.

Background

Under the Local Government Act 1999, the City of Adelaide is required to consult the public before it can grant a permit for an event that requests to use a public road for business purposes, and which will require whole or partial road closure(s) that may impede the passage of traffic to a material degree.
