We want your feedback on your experiences in the City of Adelaide during the Christmas Festival 2020
Project Information and Background
Council’s Christmas in the City Strategy 2014-2018 is at its end of life. Work on the development of a new Christmas Festival Action Plan 2021-24 has commenced. Council is seeking business and community feedback to help inform the development of a new plan.
A plan for the delivery of Christmas 2020, supported by Council in a workshop in July includes:
The creation of a Christmas Festival to promote and integrate all Christmas activity across the City including Rundle Mall and the Adelaide Central Market
Vibrant decorations and lighting to attract visitors to mainstreets and local areas remain a priority for Council in 2020
A new Christmas Incentive Scheme to directly fund businesses, artists and community to actively participate in Christmas activities in their area, including local events, window wonderland, live music and Christmas markets
Ongoing commitment to delivering the signature Christmas events into the future including the Christmas Tree Lighting
Making decorations and lighting to attract visitors to mainstreets and local areas remain a priority for Council in 2020
A Christmas Pageant Exhibition in Adelaide Town Hall, making it a Christmas destination, running for the first time in 2020.
Your feedback on your experiences in the City during the Christmas Festival 2020 is crucial to Council’s future Christmas planning. You can do this by completing our Christmas Survey and sharing your favourite City Christmas locations.
