City Works Guidelines Review

Have your say on the revised City Works guides

Project Information

We are seeking your feedback on the revised City Works Guides. As a valued customer, your feedback will help ensure that the changes proposed will enable you to have as much up to date information as you need, before, during and after conducting works in the City. Our aim is to create an easier, more transparent process for obtaining a City Works permit.

Closing date for providing feedback is 5pm, 16 April 2019.

Background

The City Works Guidelines were first developed in 2002 to communicate important information to customers about legislative requirements and our expectations when conducting works in the City of Adelaide. Since then, there has been significant changes in relevant legislation and changes in accepted standards and practices of work.

In 2018, we identified that a review of the current City Works Guidelines was a key priority to provide a better service for our customers and to support the increase in development and maintenance works happening in the City. A customer satisfaction survey helped identify the following key issues and priorities:

  • The website needs to be updated and more user friendly
  • A preference for an online application process
  • To be kept informed throughout the application process
  • Consistent messaging and communication around requirements between City Works Officers and other areas of Council.
